All the difference

"Our company got its start in 1973 in a small two bedroom semi-detached home in East Petersburg before moving to Lititz where we have operated ever since. We have experienced many ups and downs over the years as we navigated in size from a $300k per year company to one that does several million per year in just over the course of two generations. The fallout of the 2009 financial crises was by far the worst of times and hit the construction industry disproportionately hard. It is in time like these we leaned on our faith and realized that the downturn may have been a blessing in disguise. It placed directly into the spotlight just how many bad day to day habits of our own design had exacerbated the issue. I still remember Randy's "You are one bad quarter away from some horrible decisions" speech.

At that point and with much prayer, we renewed our resolve to fix our own house first and hope that an improving economy (which we had no control over) would meet up with us on the flip side. With Randy's guidance and the introduction of the Xero software suite we first and foremost took back control of many things wrongfully put on autopilot. The InSite team, through their integrated portal, would oversee the implementation of the software and audit daily entries offering a guidance that was both welcome and comforting. In the meantime Randy would go the extra mile to be present at many of the meetings with our bankers and other concerned parties as we traversed our way back to health, doing his best to sell them an optimism he had in us not conspicuous on our less than attractive balance sheet which bought us valuable extra quarters to turn things around. Almost 2 years after Randy's dire announcement regarding our financial health we had our most profitable year in our company's history.

Having lived that story bolstered our faith even further and threw into sharp relief just how important Xero has been to us since and more so how a team like the one at InSite can make all the difference both when you are against the ropes and in times prosperity and growth. Their whole team is like family."
